What is the story on the color of the scuff plate illumination? I've seen ads for the SC430 on ebay that say, "gold illumination in daylight and red illumination at night."

Mine are always gold. Is anyone seeing red?

I had read the exact same thing as you -- and as crazy as the request was, I asked the service dept to check for me if in fact it should be different colors when I went in for my 1K checkup. Answer: SC430 does not change color -- always amber. Too bad for us! I was kinda bummed!
