I looked for you on the Speed channel, (really looking for you on the big ferris wheel lol) I think the weather was in your favor this year. Hope you enjoyed it.
I also think you're right about Pinks polisher. Maybe it's a 220 instead of a 110 unit. Or maybe industrial? lol Whatever type it is I think I'll pass with using it on mine, or hers.

Steve, was the picture taken before the trip to France or after?

It was before Le Mans, this one was after, lol
Great trip this year and weather was great. I was standing at the bottom of the ferris wheel, didn't you see me, I was waving????
France is such a fantastic place to drive, did a 1000 miles over the weekend, half with the top down and mostly between 80 and 100 mph and hopefully!! no speeding fines........
Looking forward to next year already.
Yep, I'll pass on the polisher too. lol.
Take care Ed
Best regards
Steve

Steve, sorry I missed you waving! lol Hope you have fun getting the SC back to pre-France shape. Don't they stop you in France for speeding? Or is it like some places here in the States (Phoenix for one) they take a picture of you driving and black out the passenger (just in case she isn't your wife) and mail you the ticket. You don't know you were caught until a few weeks later. I got caught about four years ago. Since then they have made it illegal to do it that way. I shouldn't have paid it. Nite-nite for now

Took the whole of yesterday evening just to get the bloody bugs off.lol
In the UK we have mainly static 'Gatso' camera's that take a photo as you drive past. A fine and three points on your licence are sent to you. The camera's are bright yellow (at the moment) so you can usually spot them. The latest camera's are digital and they automatically send the fine.
In London we are seeing more and more 'average speed camera's, set out over a distance. Same result, a fine and three points. Twelve points and you get a ban for up to a year!!!!
In France the camera's are not easily visible (grey) and can either get you as you approach or when you pass them. The French authorities are slowly removing all the warnings that tell you there are camera's ahead.
The Gendarmes also have hand held camera's and they stand on the motorway bridges or hide near them and get you as you approach.
They can now contact our DVLA and get our details to send the fine, but no points. Most Brits who drive in France just accept the fines as part of the cost of the journey.
We will all end up driving round at walking pace in the UK soon, I'm sure.
Take care
Best regards
Steve
