Ok, well that annoying.....I dont even know what to call it, a rattle? You know when you go over 80 and you wonder how such a small and insignificant thing can make so much noise. Anyway........

Heres what I did........Took the lower seats out in the back, then unbolted the seats screws. Next get a rachet and unbolt the lower portion of the seatbelts. Then pass the seatbelts behind the back of the seat. A little tricky because you need to pull the seat with one hand and push it down (due to the brackets odd shape) then a friend of mine reached around the back and grabbed it. Then I bolted it back in. Another thing, the seatbelts holder towards the top has slits in it so the sealtbealts arent even visible anymore which is very nice.

I know this is confusing but it is quite simple. I now no longer will have to turn around at 80mph and look for what sounds like machine guns firing on me. If you need anymore help just let me know.

I took the advice earlier suggesting installing lambskin seatbelt pads on my rear belts up high. Not only has this inexpensive modification made my belts totally quiet (Tested up to 85 mph), but they look very classy also. The belts still flutter a little bit at speed, but the cushioning of the lambskin make them silent. I bought a creamy color which matches the ecru almost exactly. Best $15 I ever spent.
Now that the seat belt no longer make noise, the rattles have been eliminated, and the rear thumping no longer happens, I am one happy SC 430 owner.

Great idea. It was easier taking off the seat than I thought. When I pulled the seatbelt bracket thru the slot, I scratched the plastic [I thought it was glass] windbreak between the rear seatbacks.

I took it the plastic off, and I think the car looks better without it. There is no change in windnoise, even at freeway speeds. I guess it was there for looks.

Thanks for the tip. It is very nice not to have the belts flapping in the wind. Earlier this year, the flapping belts broke one of the rivets that holds the magnet that holds the belt, and Lexus had to replace the leather covering on the back seat. I won't have that problem again.

If you still have a scratch in the windbreak,
get some Novus plastic scratch remover.
I know they have it at the Container Store.

There are varying degrees of ti as well.
Works very well.

Heres what I did................ I just don’t drive faster than 80mph. And I really think that putting some pep boys sheep seatbelt covers really brings the value of the car down. Why not just have a powered by Lexus sticker on the door and add some curb feelers while your at it.
