Yeah this thing really saves a lot of time, im assuming the materials in it are similar to a chamois. Which is really the key, you must use a chamois...not towels, no terry clothes, no baby diapers. A little hint though is dont buy a genuine chamois, but one of those colored ones that comes in the tube.

yes, you can get one of those at walmart/target for a decent price. It's called the Absorber. Works like a charm.

I'm extremely picky as well -- use the water blade with zero pressure as genearch suggests, then do touch ups with a pure cotton cloth -- just like Sal Zaino says, one with real cotton in the stitching. Works GREAT for me and saves a bunch of time especially when it's humid and you can't seem to get the water off -- You'll like it.

Ok, I've had a California water blade for a long time but just used it for windows. I knew that it could save a lot of time but was concerned about scratches. But if guys with BLACK cars are doing it without scratches, that's good enough for me! Going to give it a try tomorrow.

I've been using the California Water Blade for 3 years now and it really saves alot of time.. I like to wet the edge down of the blade and drag my fingers across it before I start to make sure no dirt or anything is attached to the blade that might scratch the finish.. Also be sure to keep the packaging that the Water Blade comes in so you can out it back in there when not in use..

In case someone is reading this thread and don't know what this thing looks like here is a picture..
