water spots on my hood
hi. i have a whole *****load of water spots on my hood but they are not water spots. i think its from the salt when i was driving around when it was snowing over here(the car sux in the snow btw...even a litttle bit of slush will make the car slide). can anyone reccomend some products that will remove it? i tried washing my car and it still wont go away. and im positive they're not JUST simple water spots. thanks.

What color is your SC? Sorry, I have no insight on this. I didn't drive it in the snow/salt.. I opted to get a $500 beater car instead for those days. I figured $500 was cheaper than getting snow tires for the SC... LOL

Anyway, try using a light oxidation product. Dupont makes a really good one, but I think its only avaiable through dealers or aftermarket shops. Many step 1 cleaners will suffice though, Meguirs, Mothers......

Turns out that a casting plant was emitting Titanium oxide which was mixing with rain and ......
Anyway, bad things fall from the sky, tree sap, bird ****, ash, titanium oxide, who can say. Once you get your car looking good, park it inside, nice and warm, and only take it out on sunny play days.
