Options you would like to see on 2003 SC430
Lets put together a list of things that we would like to have on future SC430s.
1. Holding the remote key button down to open windows also lowers the convertible top if held another second. Yes, yes, yes please.
2. A little more length to the vehicle even 8" would make a difference in the usability of the rear seats.
3. NEW RIMS. Out with the old and in with the TTE rims that they put on the IS430 Kompressor prototype. See pic below.
Those changes in mind I would definitely run to the dealership and pre-order one.

You're ignoring the fact that we already have our SC430. Personally I'd be happy if they didnt sell anymore of them....lol. As for more options I dont think we'd like them, because we would be jealous that our cars didnt have them.

Just do a trade-in since the value of your one year old SC430 will be higher than what you have already sunk in to it. Most leasing companies would do that for you in an instant.

Personally I am happy with the length but a bit more width would be good.. I'm not a big guy but the drivers cockpit seems a bit confining to me.. Definately #1 that Hermosa posted.. To be in a parking lot and hit the remote to open the SC up would be super cool..
Like Gene said I also heard the '03 model will have much nicer wheels.. Those TTE wheels on the IS430 would be cool.. Who knows??
The little woman has one request.. Massaging passenger seat like the rear seats in the LS.. I just laughed at her but its a pretty cool idea none-the-less..

400 HP would be nice to add to that 6 speed too..
I figure the SC will be in the 350+ range in the near future from what I read about the new GS.. Lets all hope it comes true..

I'd love to see the SC430 in Solar YEllow with a black interior. I think that would be a great combo on the Sc430 (I can almost hear the complaints now) BUT I guess it is a personal preference thing. I'd even consider trading in my red one for a Yellow one if it looked as good as I think it will.
I'd also like to see the trunk and gas release buttons in an easier location. How about on the door like Infiniti does? OR at least an easier to reach spot on the dash. I find the current location extremely inconvenient.

My $0.02M...
XM is a great idea (I'd buy it before I'd get some On*Star system), but I'm pretty sure that manufacturers are waiting to see if it'll stick before they make it an option.
Integrated cell phone? I've been disappointed that most if not all systems accept a Motorola phone ONLY. I haven't seen one for Nokia's. And have you seen the MB nav system? Yikes -- too complicated. Of course, the masters at Lexus COULD make a better one.
Wheels? I knew when I ordered my SC430 that they'd come up with cooler ones -- they always have for other models. I wish they made the 17" chrome LS430 wheels in an 18" size.
As for 400hp and a 6-speed, go buy a real sports car, folks.
The SC430 is too heavy, and has too many luxury touches that would take away from a sports car experience, anyway. Back in '96 I drove an SC300 5-speed, and chose the SC400 for the smooth shifting, power, and the fact that I HATED the idea of being so animated in an interior that was designed for comfort and pampering.
If I wanted a sports car, I would have lost having a car that would not be a chore to drive 2+ hours at a stretch. In the SC430, a drive from Dallas to Houston passes with zero effort.
And finally, while I'm sure that it's not possible, I want my old door hinges from the SCx00's back. The new ones swing too wide!
