I just bought a 2008 Camry donut just as what you described. I never try it out yet but I did make a template of the donut bolts position and they matched exactly with my 2002 SC.

I just bought a 2008 Camry spare on eBay for $110.00 shipped. It's to cold in Wisconsin to try and fit it on the car, but as soon as it warms up I'll try it and report back.

Just an FYI.
The weather is so nice in Wisconsin that I took my winter tires off last night and put on my regular all season tires. I tried the 2008 Camry spare that I purchased on eBay and it fit perfectly on the front and the rear hubs.
Thanks

Thanks for the update

Yes I did spin the rim/tire and it spun freely. The brake rotor on the SC 430 is only 12 maybe 13 inches in diameter and the Camry rim is 15 inches where it bolts on to the hub.
Thanks

I have a 2006 SC430. I bought ($7) a piece of hardboard at Home Depot. Overlaid the carpet for the outline and cut it out with my jigsaw. Then traced the spare tire opening on to the bottom part of that hardboard and cut it out. I then overlaid the hardboard over the original trunk piece (NOT the LEXUS carpet) that had the black pull-tab. This is a covering over a thin cardboard-type black covering. Using my utility knife (it is easy to cut--paper-based piece) I cut the piece after tracing the opening from the hardboard (just lay the hardboard over it). I didnt want to cut the Lexus-branded carpet piece, so it lays on top and over the edge. Now I am going to make a tire-cover from some gray light carpet that I have. Oh yeah--I bought an RX8 spare tire for $200 off ebay. It fits like a glove in my new space. I have not done anything to hold it down (lost the ebay bid for the metal kit). The top works fine with the tire in place. Thanks for the tips, guys!

I also did a similar spare tire as Farkas. I got a spare tire and wheel from Florida on ebay. It was off a Subaru wrx. 17" with 5x143 bolt pattern. It has a brand new Bridgestone tire 135X70X17. The stock tire is 145X70X17 and Discount Tire said it would be fine. Paid $89 including shipping. As it turns out the rim doesn't fit over the front brake caliper. So i got a new rim from Lexus of Roseville in California and paid $105 with no tax and free shipping. I bought a spare tire cover from an RV store (24" in black for $14). I also used 1/4" plywood for the floor. I went one step further than Farkas in that i cut a 20" round out of the plywood, painted it black and put it under the tire cover facing the outside. Looks very sanitary and also serves as extra storage between the rim and cover. I put a blanket, gloves, tool kit, etc in there and it doesn't show or take up extra space. In all i have about $220 invested. The tire alone costs nearly $300 new so the $89 is a real bargin if only for the tire.

sc 430 spare tire
I also added a spare tire kit similiar to the one Farkas did. I went one step further and cut out a 20" round circle from the plywood, painted it black, and placed it under the tire cover on the back of the car side. It looks more sanitary and serves as additional storage--i put a blanket, gloves, tool kit, etc in it.
I bought a new Bridgestone tire on ebay from Florida which included a Suraru WRX rim 5X114.3. The tire is a 135x70x17 as opposed to the factory 145x70x17. Discount Tire said this was acceptable. Turns out the rim wouldn't fit over the front brake calipers. But still a good deal for just the tire since new ones are over $300. I order a new factory wheel from Lexus of Roseville in Sacramento on line. It was $105 with no tax and free shipping. Cut the plywood and total cost is about $220 as opposed to $1100 for a factory kit.
Hope I never need to use it but worth it for peace of mind when we travel to some remote areas where towing is difficult or impossible if no cell phone service.
Thanks Farkas for the idea.
