Seaside Grill
Persian cuisine is one of the unexpected. While its basic ingredients are familiar to most, such as lamb and rice, the ingredients that enhance it, while not unknown, are used infrequently in Western cuisine: Pomegranates, pistachio nuts, saffron, dried lime, rosewater, yogurt, cardamom, cloves, barberry, fenugreek, the unique spice sumak-the list is endless. Persia's cuisine influenced all of the Middle East and its kaleidoscope of color, texture and flavors.

To speak for myself I am so overwhelmed with so may items that finding time to get to the grocery store is a challenge.
Wish they still had home delivery for groceries.
Many seem to be in the same boat. Perhaps things will lighten up shortly and we can have a nice meet, good company, good weather, and of course the food.

Hey Folks!
Just my two cents here,
I think as we get through March we can all agree for some reason it's a little hectic. Last year I (with the help of Teeman) put on NASCAL SC2 and it was tons of fun and great company to say the least. It was however in May which is a little closer to the Summer months when the weather is a little more friendly. It was also quite a bit farther North as the idea of "NASCAL SC" is "Northern And Southern California SC430" allowing of participation from both ends of the state.
I propose we continue with tradition and have NASCAL SC3 in May/June and also keep with the original idea of Solvang/Santa Barbara (wine country). I live in Ventura which is 2 Miles from Oxnard. No offense to Oxnardians but it's by ALL means NOT Santa Barbara county and it has a distinct aroma of mushroom field fertilizer. It's also not a very picturesque drive and is mostly surface streets. Santa Barbara county (including Solvang) is beautiful with every amenity imaginable and has INCREDBLE drives with photo ops, not to mention the rolling hills of wine country. Lets just relax and every one start to make plans FAR in advance for May or June. This will take the pressure off right now and give ample time to plan and look forward to the event.
Sound good.......anyone?.......feel free to chime in here!
Just my 2 cents.

Huh... Dan you're selling your wheels?!?!??! Man is there some new wheels coming or is it bye bye time for the old SC? =(
But back on topic, I say we might be better off doing the Socal meet but I'm up for a drive as long as its within a few hours of LA. We haven't had an SC meet since Henry and Mark sold their cars. How about another queen mary meet up and then a nice drive arond longbeach?

Most likely my SC will be sold by then. 2 years is a bit long for me and a car and I have owned this one well beyond that. Joining Henry and Mark in the SC430 afterlife. Generally the big event takes a good month or two to organize as it requires a hotel stay and the dinner reservation so keep that in mind. Mike is an expert at it. If it is down here then it does not qualify as a NASCAL event, just a Southern Ca Meet similar to the Northern Ca Meet in the other thread.
