I Just put a set of the new 07 style Sc430 wheels on my 2004 and am now thinking that they may look better with some spacers/adapters on them to make it look more agressive. Has anyone put spacers/adapters on their SC430 and what size did you use? I was thinking maybe 20mm in the back and 15mm in the front. Any thoughts????

Sounds about right. As long as you have room those will be fine.

I just bought some for the rear. 12MM. Not installed yet, but I will let you know how it goes in a few days.

Can anyone offer any reason why, not to use a spacer?

all i can say is that on the IS other members are using 15mm front and 20mm in the rear. posts show that 20mm rubs a little in the front. i would assume same would work for this model. sure others will chime in with more info.

Thanks for the feedback! It looks like they are saying 30mm rear and 20-25mm in the front. Adapters are the way to go but I am worried about the factory studs length. Does anyone know how long they are? I do not want to change out the studs if I can avoid it. I do know that the SC430 has a lot more room to go out than a IS300 does. Now I have to find out where to buy these and what kind to get.

Back again today! More updates....Hub centric adapters are a must or you will bounce down the road since a Lexus centers/mounts their rims by the hub before you tighten them down. If you buy spacers/adapters without the hub ring, either built into the adapter or separately, then you will have to live with a vibration. Now the question is where to find 25mm and 30mm hubcentric adapters at a good price. Also I found out that 25mm or greater adapters will cover the stock studs so you do not have to cut down or change the original studs. 20mm can be tricky and can also be fitted but your wheels have to have an indent between the five bolt holes that is deep enough to swallow the leftover lengh of the stock studs. Anyone out there agree or disagree???

If you don't mind, in the interest of some education, could you post before and after pictures. I am trying to understand all this wheel, tire, offset, etc stuff, now adapter rings seems to be a new chapter for me. :-)

So would it be fair to say that Spacers are an offset adjustment. If you want your wheels further 'out' on your car, and your wheels don't have that amount of offset, the spacers extend them outwards?

Yep Jerry, in an ideal world you would just buy wheels with the offsets for the look you want ie flush to the fender. But as the fit on the OEM wheels is very poor adding spacers will certainly enhance the fit. Just make sure you use hub centric spacers and I would suggest the H&R ones.
