Lambo or Scissor doors for SC430?
I am considering haveing Lambo (scissor) doors put on my car. Has anyone else tried them? Do they work well?
Also has anyone had trouble with tire pressure going down. Was told that the valvues needed replacing about every 10 years.

Most of us around here are sort of conservative and consider Lexus cars too classy for things like Lambo doors.
To me it's more a matter of taste than class. I believe Lambo doors belong on exotic type cars only. No exceptions.
But I won't flame you if you do it....I just wouldn't be seen getting out of your car. Just having fun. Cheers!

I like anything that is distinctive. I say do it if you like them. I considered it... But I pictured a valet attendant ripping the door off, or the lambo door hitting the garage door above the car when opening them. I love that picture "not even lambos have lambo doors anymore". Ha!

Most of the kits available are very cheesy and compromise not only the reliability but also the structural integrity which leads to a safety issue.
I say most but as of today I have yet to see a real quality kit that impressed me on just about any car. Saw a persons 350z at the body shop with these. You would swear the door would fly away if the left up and the wind picked up.
The car is not designed to have these so I would not bother just from a safety standpoint.
But , if there is a Lexus to have them the SC would be it.

I'm not a big fan of these doors in general, however I think if there was a lexus that could pull it off, it is the SC. It's not as exotic as the Lambo or other cars, but the style is so different than anything else out there, that I think lambo or 'wing' type doors actually may not be so bad. I'm not the bling bling type of guy, but I can honestly see this one for somebody who is.
If you do this, please make sure you go to a high quality shop and also post pics. Not everything is for everybody, but if this is for you - go for it!!!

Huh? Looks like a Silver Murcielago parked in back of a yellow Gallardo I don't get it. Besides, the Gallardo is just a rebadged/reskinned Audi but that silver car is something else.. =)
But here... one of our own has done it... Why someone would choose lambo doors over lowering springs or suspension is beyond me...

lambo doors are cool if your stuck in the fast and furious age. that is no longer... keep the car classy and give your arms the normal motion of opening and closing...
