Anyone know how to get rid of the NASTY SMELL when A/C is on? I know it has to do with mold.

I changed cabin filter and it did not do anything.
Also fried of mind told me to spray Lysol where the cabin fiter is at and it help some but the NASTY SMELL is still there.

Any input will be greatly appreciated.

Turn your heater on high (85*F) for about 5 minutes to kill the moldy smell.

And turn off your AC about 3 minutes before turning the engine off to prevent it from happening.

And make sure you don't have stinky feet. Keep your shoes on!!!

I did my car with a can of that air-con cleaner about 3-4 years ago and been fine ever since. You just place on the floor set it off and close and the doors and windows whilst the engine and air-con is run at full for ten minutes. Worked fine.

Nothing specific, all car shops sell a similiar type product. I think I just grabbed mine off ebay. Something like this

Try spraying ozium into the HVAC intake grate on the exterior of the car while the fan is on high. You can use lysol or whatever other disinfectant odor counteractant or air freshener you choose.

The post above to use a fumigator while the car is running with HVAC on recirculate seems like it would work well. I would try that if my suggestion isn't enough of a fix.
