Did you check the fuse?

pop off the center console and see if the lighter is connected.

Ok I looked it up and 2 fuses control the cigarette lighter

1) Fuse 2 Location Drivers side kick panel Amps 5 controls (ac,audio, glove box light, trip info display, cig lighter)

2) Fuse 25 Location Passengers side kick panel Amps 15 controls (Cigarette lighter)

The passenger fuse panel is exactly where the drivers is but on the passenger’s side.

Hope this helps

Go to lexus.com and register, then you can request a free owners manual.

Why do two fuses control the cigar lighter. I once blew the fuse on the passenger side because i shorted the cigar lighter center wire when I was taking the console top off . I just replaced the fuse and the cigar lighter worked. I cant understand why there would be another fuse unless its like a automatic resetable circuit breaker ??

Maybe the second cigar lighter is on a different fuse? Possible just a guess.

the 1st fuse is just a general fuse which these options are ran through. The second is a dedicated fuse just for the cig lighters.

99% he needs to change the #25 fuse in the passengers side kick panel.

Well I guess the car is telling you that it is time to stop smoking.

Glad all these older posts are still available. The cigarette lighter in my (recently purchased) 03 SC430 wasn't working. I don't smoke but really wanted to use the 12v plug for my radar detector (running that from the 12v plug in the center console was a PITA). Until I found these posts I only knew of the one fuse that also ran other things that worked. Found the 2nd fuse last evening (passenger kick panel) and sure enough it was blown. Replaced same and now the plug works. Hopefully, it won't blow again anytime soon.

Given power requirements, the cigaret lighter will almost always be a 15 amp fuse.
