Default Slow seat-moving motors

One of the only things about my glorious SC430 which annoys me is the snail-like pace with which the seats move.

In the rare occasions when I need to squeeze a child into the back seats, it seems to take forever for the seat to slide forward and back again.

Anyone else notice this?

By the way, if that's the only thing that annoys me after 2,500 miles..... what a car!

Martin.

P.S. oh yes, and I find I have to bang the boot down harder than I ought to, to get it to catch

Back seat? Is that an option? I just have a nicely upholstered package shelf.

Unfortunately, there are a couple of carry-overs from the SCx00 series. I was disappointed to find this, as well as the same steering column control sticks from the old series.

However, I don't have too much trouble with them.
Maybe I've gotten used to it from having an SC400 for 6 years.
Maybe I don't move the seats much.

Enjoy it.

I suppose if the power seats moved faster, it would be very difficult to get that "perfect" seating position requiring you to keep moving it back and forth.

I think what MJB would like is a special button that would rapidly move the seat forward or back in one fell swoop (full sweep?).

Well program one of the memories for the seat position being all the way forward, then when needed just press the memory. It may help.

Thanks for the replies guys,

It was a silly post and - yes - of course I can use a programme to move a seat all the way forward in one go.

My point was simply that the seats move more slowly than any other powered seats I've experienced!

But, as I said, if that's the worst thing I can find to complain about...!

All the best,

Martin
