Just installed the VAIS SLU unit on my 2002 SC. Pretty straightforward, took about an hour. Sound quality is MUCH better than a tape adapter.

I was wondering if anyone was able to get the "AUX Input Sound Level Adjustment" to work, as stated in the manual. It's where you adjust the baseline volume of the AUX input by using the SCAN button. I'm holding down the SCAN button and nothing's happening.

I know our car requires a "Special Emulation Mode" so I'm not too sure if this function is applicable to us.

Never worked for me...I tried it.

My Sirius radio, fortunately, has a line-level output adjustment; I use that.

Funny this got posted cuz I just looked up how to balance the Sirius output with the FM output -- does that work or would I be wasting my time?

I believe you have the SLI and I KNOW you have an 06+ car so, it should work fine for you (you can adjust the output level of the SLI so that it's approximately the same as your FM/CD...so you don't get blasted when you switch sources). Although I don't know why you'd ever use your FM tuner again once you've got Sirius! :-)

sexylexysc430 has an '02 which has the same head-unit as my '03. You've seen my sat radio installation...not as integrated as yours...due to the differences in the head units pre/post '06.

You should have no problem adjusting the audio level on your VaisTech unit.
