Default firm your shft in the sc430 [ a-650-e ]

take the slush out of your trans next time you change your fluid, it take 30 seconds, on the driver side with the pan off, you will see a pressure regulater valve towards the front of the car, there will be what looks like a dial, push the valve in and turn to the right, [ clock wise ] there are three settings, mine was set to the soft side so i went all the way with it, the shifts are not harsh, or clunky, it is a nice possitive shift, both in power mode and e - mode, thought i would share that with you.........

What do you mean by positive shifts? My complaint is not the smothness of the shift but the lag time between the time the leaver is shifted and the actual shift.

If this post is true, you would think this could be an option performed by the service dept. Surt

Default quick fix for mushy shifts

what i mean by poss. shift it will take the lag out of when the shift starts to end it will give a firmer shift, not harsh, it will also take the small delay out when you first put it in gear, what the pressure reg. does it just that. regulates the the line pressure in the transmission. i came across this by luck, i was looking for a ajustable e.p.c. [ elec. press. control to firm my shifts as i have a super charger on mine and wanted to firm the shift so the clutchs were not to slip. i am a trans builder and like the firmer shifts as they make the trans last longer, its like a shift kit but not a wheel chirper. i think its what they should feel like from factory, i think if any one would complain abought the soft shift it would be a quick fix for the dealer,

Thanks Mike for the explain. Do you know if the dealer will do this? I only have about 4K on my 07 and I am not really interested in doing this without the blessing of Lexus.

LMS, I think.

Someone in Houston is selling that LMS kit for $3000.
You can have it if you want. Just have JPI install and do all the tuning for you since it requires quite a bit work.

It is easy. just copy and paste your image link between "" here.

Since you have a photobucket account, just click on the "IMG Code" and it will automatically copy. Then all you need to do here is right clck and paste.
