cell phone mount, and radar detector
I've put 5000 miles on my SC430 (black/black) since I got it 2 months ago. I drive long distances for work and get can a lot done via cell phone. But I'm tired of the cable mess, and tired of my phone leaving the passenger seat when I drive "exuberantly".
Has anyone had a permanent cell phone mount installed in their SC430? I don't see how the in-dash style mount could work in the SC, because it generally requires inserting a metal plate between the stereo and console, which would interfere with the retractable stereo panel cover. I'm thinking of installing a pedestal mount near the passenger's left knee (anchored on the carpeted area, not the leather). Any thoughts, or alternate suggestions?
Also, I'm thinking of installing the Passport SRX radar detector / laser detector / laser jammer. Anybody out there done this in an SC? (I also wonder if it really works...)
