Default 06 Sc

I'm the owner of an '06 LS with the modern luxury pkg., 6k miles. I'm interested in trading for an '06 SC. While doing my research, I found in JM's website the trade in value of the LS to be a little higher than the SC. Yet while shopping around here in South FL, the SC's are going for about 54-56k but the dealer I contacted Kendall Lexus only offered 48k for the LS. What do you guys think? Does this sound right?

Shannon Gorman I tried to reach you today but the dealer was already closed. What is your take on this?

I checked the trade in value of your car and it was $47,555. A used SC at dealer retail price will cost $54-56k like you said. Best bet is to sell your car at the private market value to get closer to your projected SC value because there will be no way the dealer will give you their trade value on the SCs.

Part of the price differance between your trade in and their retail is the prep for delivery, sales salaries, finance guys salaries, the 250K mark levinson sound system their store has and all the other over head at every lexus dealership. On top of that, they maintain a level of liability over the vehicle they traded you and the vehicle of yours they must sell. Your going to be in the same position at any dealership.

Default 06 LS Trade in value

Thank you guys for the responce as you can see acording to KBB the trade in value for the LS in excellent condition is right at 50k which the car is and the SC's is 49.5k so the 6-7k they want on top of my LS for the SC in my opinion just too high.
