Hello and welcome to your first post and congrats on your new car. We offer a search button on the upper right which will take you to a great many topics. Just use 4 letter+ search words. The mod you speak of is a very popular one and one of my favorites.
That stated, here you go:

I've been reading up on the install of the 06 tail lights too and will be getting them soon.
Anyone in the Northern CA has done this and willing to supervise a newbie in exchange for beer? I just don't want to make a stupid mistake and break/damage something.
Thanks!

Nope, you've gotta do it yourself and get initiated The truth is, after you've done it, you don't want to see the rear trunk interior again- you develop a reartrunkophobia because of the ordeal Seriously, if you're only in SoCal, I can help you dude. As an assurance though, the instructions here on CL are so good it's hard to make a mistake and break something.

haha...I just might take you guys up on your offer
I am pretty clumsy when it comes to removing and putting things back together, I know I will probably break something when removing or putting it back together.
If I can't find someone up in NorCal to supervise me with the install, I will definitely consider it.
Thanks for the offer!
