Smile "A CHRISTMAS FABLE"

(An account of a visit from St. Nicholas, from the Originator, Major Henry Livingston Jr. [1748-1828], previously believed to be by Clement Clarke Moore, and now respectfully modified by W. J. Solomon, who was proudly presented his New 2002 SC 430, from Tom Wood Lexus of Indiana, on Saturday, December 1, 2001.)

"TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS..........................."

'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house,
not a creature was stirring, except me and my Dell Mouse.
I was writing Club Lexus and leaving a thread,
to wish Members a Merry Christmas, before going off to bed.

My new SC 430, waxed and protected from chills,
with a Fleece-Lined Cotton Cover from Beverly Hills.
Maria's reading the Owner's Manual, and I'm having a "Nite Cap",
while Maxwell, our little Bichon, lays snuggled on her lap.

When out on the yard there arose such a clatter,
that I sprang from my chair to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
tore open the curtains, and threw up the sash!

The Moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow,
gave a luster of Mid-Day to objects below.
And then, my wondering eyes saw, sparkling like Stars,
a shimmering Christmas Sleigh, pulled by Seven Sport Cars.

All were Convertibles, the Best in their Class,
all tops neatly stowed, and in eye-catching colors
that would please any lass!

In the rear was a Volvo, next a Saab it would be,
Behind a new BMW, and an Audi TT.
In the front a Mercedes, with a beautiful mate,
a Racing Green Jaguar that read: "XK8".

And out in front of the others, when all else is said,
a Stunning SC 430, painted "Absolutely Red".

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment that it must be St. Nick!
More rapid than Eagles, his Coursers they came,
and he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name:

"Now VOLVO, Now SAAB, Now BIMMER - Don't Vex Us!
On AUDI, On MERCEDES, On JAGUAR, And LEXUS!"

Roaring out of my shrubbery, and onto the lawn,
down the road they streamed off, chasing the Dawn.

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
when they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
so up the Entrance Ramp to the Freeway they flew,
a Sleigh pulled by Soft Tops, and a SC 430, too!

The last thing that I heard as they raced out of sight,
was when he shouted: "Merry Christmas, And To All,
A Good Night!"

So look to the skies as this Christmas Eve nears,
and watch for a Sleigh pulled be Seven Reindeers.
Look closer now to see, who guides at their head,
is it really "Old Rudolph"..........or "Absolutely Red"?
