Default Tyres going down

I had all 4 wheels changed under warranty by Lexus and after 5 days of my wife driving the tyres were at 12PSI, 19PSI,28PSI , 29PSI and yes the tyre warning was beeping...

Lexus say leaks can occur due to the sealing of the transponder valve, or poor sealing of the tyres to the rim.

Is this really true or am i getting the run around, as they suggested over inflating the tyres to say 50PSI and then letting them down.

They also managed to scratch the wing and lose a locking cap...

there could be a leak so have them recheck and re-seal everything.
Also, there could be a loose valve stem that is not tightened correctly.

you can check this yourself by twisting the valve stem clockwise to see if it's securely tight.

This happened when my new tires were installed and one of the valve stems was loose and I didn't even know about it when I started to get 10 PSI loses every couple of weeks.

I brought it back later to the dealership and they tightened it.

good luck....teeman3

I eventually removed my tire pressure sensors and disabled the controller because the o-rings that are used to mount the TPM's would leak. I think that this is a major design flaw. If the technician at the factory (or anywhere) doesn't know how to mount the TPM and torque them properly, the o-ring can get twisted and leak. Mine had problems right from the factory.

OK, Latest from the dealer is they think all 4 alloys are not sealing around the rim. They dont believe its the valve.

So all 4 wheels will be changed again...
