interesting that there's a toyota vehicle in every category, but the model with the largest sales volume (camry) didnt make the list. if the manufacturers let those with the proper qualifications, instead of bean counters, develop production/quality initiatives, consumers should expect the quality perception gap to close significantly in the future. shortcuts just make short term profitability look good to investors.

I've always thought that the SL was so expensive and elegant to own, even to this day. I would have thought Mercedes would have a high reliability rate comparable to Lexus.

But I guess the higher price you pay for a SL doesn't mean that it's going to hold the reliability value of the car for a long time. I could be wrong here.

Anyways, that was why I was surprised to see the results given the fact that I'm a first time Lex owner. But now I know. thanks.

Well, next year's results, I'll just find a good reason to celebrate.

The sc300/400's were so reliable it's no surprise it's successor has taken up the mantle. Actually, I think the SC's are the most reliable of the Lexus cars.

The SC 430 is perhaps the highest quality of all Lexus cars currently sold, except for the new LS 460...which probably matches or exceeds it.

The SC 430 has been doing really well in the quality reports and is continuing that streak this year.
