Default DVD Player & Reverse Camera... PLEASE end my confusion!!!

Alright, I've read through every post abt rear view cameras and dvd hookups... twice I've read them all. I've read Lee's extensive thread about his hook up abt 5 times. I am going to get the same NavTool unit that he got off eBay. I want to know if this unit coupled with the following DVD player and camera will work. Since I have no wiring and installation experience, I wanted to ask y'all before I bought everything.

This "black" box to control everything:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Lexus-SC430-Navi...QQcmdZViewItem

This DVD player:
http://csexpo.stores.yahoo.net/pdphdiulcodv.html

This Reverse Camera:
http://www.autotoys.com/x/cust/produ...=6929#reviews1

My list of questions:
1. It mentions a TV tuner in the DVD description, will I be able to pick up local channels on this thing?

2. I see that theres a switch to turn on the DVD player, do I leave it in the trunk or do I have to run it back up to the front of the car?

3. How do I get power to the DVD player?

4. Will I have to drill a hole in the rear of the car to allow the camera wiring to reach the navtool unit?

5. Is this camera black and white or color?

6. Will I end up having to get this installed professionally or will it be as simple as uncovering the trunk and plugging in the wires?

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
for any help whatsoever. I want to try and get this up and going in the next couple of weeks.

Sorry, received your PM but I have been extremely busy as our house warming/baby shower is days away and I have weeks of worth left to do in those couple of days. I will get a real answer for you shortly though. hang in there.

My neighbor just installed the backup camera on his 430. He used this camera:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...CODE/ref=nosim

He swears by it. Great picture -- nice wide angle. It's at least comparable to the backup camera on my IS250.

Do you have any pictures of this installed on his SC? I'd love to see how it looks on there, and to see how noticeable it is. Thanks.

You can feed the wires from the camera up through the license plate light and into the rear interior body to attach to the main unit no problem.

As far as the power questions, get a volt meter and find a good solid 12v line as in one of the wires that I attached mine to. That should get you up and going.

One of these days I will get to Lexus and pick up an OEM camera for my setup.

Lee,
beware, the OEM cams seem big and bulky. No good place to mount it. I went with the license plate frame cam. I will let you know how it does after install.
