Default The Razor

OCCAM'S RAZOR postulates that, when more than one solution or explanation exists, the simplest and most obvious answer is likely to be the most valid.

Thus, here it's fair to conclude that these guys just can't get their product to work right.

If that's the case, then everything else makes sense.

So why are they re-inventing this thing?
Does the old model have some deficiency?
Can anyone who currently owns/ uses the old model lend some results of failures or issues?
I want one. It seems like a rather odd sequence of events. Maybe Steve him self could chime in and lay to rest the rumors!!!

I think they "replaced" the old version with the new one cause it's supposed to be a chip of some sort that can be flashed with updates and new software and theres also a quarter window option.

"replaced" cause this so called replacement is a myth, an urban lexus legend..... spooky

the old one had no problem. i know the real reason why they are going with a new one, but i dont' think i should say it here. at least in the new one they will have rear windows control, which wasn't available in the old models

Those rear windows can't be that important.

I had the car for two years before I even noticed it had rear windows.

I have no interest in controlling them separately from the other windows, and certainly would not pay dime one for the privilege.

yea i agree, whats the point of using those quarter windows. I wonder if i could get my hands on one of those older units. Were they pretty reliable?

trust me the rear windows were NOT the main reason why they are re-doing these

I think/hope/am pretty sure that the big new feature is going to be that the windows will not roll *up* when the top is put *down* -- the current model brings the windows up when the top goes down (as if you held down the console top open button all the way through the sequence, past the first chimes, because that's literally what it's doing), not what anyone wants most of the time.

that's a big new feature?! umm.... honestly, if today i am using remote to put down my top, that means i am far away. when i get to my car and i can't even spend 5 secs to use the AUTO button to roll down my windows? man...

if anything, big features should be something that wasn't offered before. my 2 cents

That's the great new feature???

Be still, my beating heart!

How long have I waited for that.

Let's all say a little prayer together that it will be here soon.

Which, to them, is another year or two.

umm ... "big new feature" being relative -- something designed to let you operate your top via remote isn't going to bake cakes.

Hey, don't kill the guy . More than a feature, it's just a bug that has been worked out.
It'd be very annoying to me that the windows go up after the top is lowered, since I always drive with the windows down when top is down.
And Henry, don't say to this guy you just have to press the auto buttons down, because I'd say to you why the heck do you want a remote opener to begin with, when you can just press the darn console button when you get in the car ; same thing, no? Ha ha. Later guys.

28 secs compared to 2, not the same thing

again i am not saying it's a bad thing, it's good to have different choices. but i am just saying this shouldn't be a "big feature" imho. independent controls on the rear side windows, now that's big. coz' you can't do anything about them right now
