Window switch
Hi, has anyone replaced a window switch without replacing the entire console ?
During a heavy downpour, I was in a rush n was a little heavy handed with the passenger window switch. My mechanic said I had broken the spring underneath the switch button. Window still works but I have to toggle
the switch forward n back at a certain angle for it to work. Mechanic said I have to replace the entire console ( see photo ) which seems to be wasteful to me. Is there any way to repair/salvage just the broken switch ? Many thanks.

Not true. I replaced mine about 3 years ago. Easy job. Just pry up the plastic around the switch from behind and disconnect the electrical connector. I think it has two screws that attach the switch to the plastic. Here is an example of the switch on eBay. I chose to go new and they are about $280.00.
