Is this true or am I going to mount the sensors and be screwed?

well to answer all your questions, on the sc430 you do not have to dismount all four tires to get sensor codes because they are color coded. you just plug the scan tool into the dlc port and you can pull them up that way. and whenever you replace a sensor you have to once again have the scantool plugged in and there is a program for it where you drop all 4 tires down at least 6-8psi in 30 seconds a tire. you have a total of 5 minutes to complete it if you do it with the scantool. and if you do think that you have a bad sensor when you take it to the dealer what they will do is watch the tire pressures being read by the computer and drop all the tires to see which one doesnt move. hope that helps

in other words, with this i would reccomend taking it to the dealer

this might be a dumb question. but i'm about to attempt this and the shifter **** is on very tight. i don't want to torque it too hard and break something. is there any technique to getting it off? i know on my old mercedes you had to lift up on a lever at the bottom before unscrewing it. but i don't see anything like that on there.

thanks guys. got it. i'll also add that the shift plate took quite a bit of force to get it to budge. it felt as if there were a bit of adhesive maybe. or maybe it's just tight from being in there 6 years. but everything was pretty simple after that.

Default Sweet! It Works!

Yay, it only took me like 3 minutes to unplug. Thank god! But i am concern about one thing: will this affect anything electronically? Just curious. Thanks!
