Alarm on or off when not using car?
Its winter here in England, so havent been using my car much. I keep in the garage with a cover on it but its not really in storage as I take out every two or three weeks if a nice day pops up.
Anyway I put it away for two weeks and set the alarm.. two weeks latter took it out for a long drive good couple of hours. Then put it away for another two weeks. However this time I thought better not set the alarm incase it drains the battery.
Two weeks latter dead battery
Was wondering does setting the alarm possible cut off certain things that could drain the battery?
The only differnce was I didnt have the alarm set, and TBH a couple of hours drive is along time for me.. I hardly use the car even in the summer due to the British weather.

BTW do you guys recommend removing the battery when you charge it or is it ok to charge it whilst still in the car.
I know my parents neighbour managed to burn his car and garage to the ground doing so.. but not all bad news as he bought a Lexus Soarer after

The thing is I park right up close to the side wall and I cant get down there to get access to the battery with spanners.

This charger is intelligent to prevent overcharging. It's the Best! Made for motorcycles, antiques and classics. Keeps the battery full charged.

Did you choose the 12V or 6V model? Is there a difference?
Last question. Do you think this will work outdoors? I don't have a garage, but I do have a driveway. And it takes a good 10ft to reach the hood of the car from the outlet in my house. Do you think this charger is waterproof?
Thx.

I use the Plus... 12 volt -1.25 amp for auto and motorcycle. Pep Boys for $39 on sale
The charger is not waterpoof. It's small and will fit in a dry area under the hood. I use a small bucket with a slightly larger bucket inverted to act as a lid. I then place it under the wheel well so it doesn't blow over and on the North side if possible.
Please use at least 16 guage/3 wire 25 foot outdoor extension cord with ground... Your safety first !
