What size rims do you have on your SC300/400?
I am looking for some rims and don't want to spend alot of money. I've noticed that 17" rims Chrome and SIlver were selling for decent prices. I was just wondering if 17" rims would look too small on our cars or would they look alright?

17's are too small, unless you are going for that "stock" look with the supra rims.
18's look a little better, are perfect for daily driving, but are still a little too small. IMO it will only look good if the car is slammed.
Because of the size of the car, I think you are better off with going 19's. You can still daily drive on them, if you are willing to pay the hefty price tag for tires.
If you get a bodykit, you should definately look into getting some 20's
Here's a pic of my car on 18's

as far as looks i agree with 19's, 20's still seem too big for my taste even with a kit. im just goin for a more subtle stock look so i decided on gs rims i mentioned earlier, still not sure what sized tire to go for. so far im still thinkin 235/45

I've seen a lot of guys with 20's on their SC's, and all of them (but Dins for obvious reasons) looks like its on stilts. I think manaray is one of the few to pull off SC+20's and make it look oh-so-good. Search for it, you'll love it.

Thats true and I'm definately up for opinions. I just thought that I could get an honest answer from personal experience of what people already have on their car in a like dislike since. I really respect you guys opinions and the bottom line is this.... Is 17" too small of a rim? and from the vibes i get they are too small.

I think 17's are def too small. I had 17's on my car and they looked puny. SC's are pretty big cars, with low profile tires.. it just won't look right.

I have 235/45 ZR17's and think they look fine. Came with the car though and I'd probably still be on stock wheels if they hadn't ... Honestly, I'm not a big fan of big wheels (>18").

I've got a cheap set of 17" on mine right now. The more time goes on I'd love to get a set of HRE 547R in 18" or the stock rims back. I'm kind of wavering between moding the car and restoring it to it's glory days .

It depends what you are looking for (looks or performance).
As for me, I have been looking for a good deal on 17's that are 9.5 to 10 wide and will also clear the supra big brakes. My main concern is the 1/4 mile so this is why I choose not to go for 18's.
