hey I realize one thing, our stock A/C unit backlights come with blue caps right? how come it shows amber and not blue?

if your unit is amber, you dont have sleeves. must have been removed.

nak decks... done it many times.

there are i believe 8 backlight bulbs for the speedo unit and three for the lcd in the ac as well as 3 for the buttons. you can use these anywhere. including the shifter panel for auto's. (did i mention it works on map lights too)?

Not sure about Nakamichi unit but the Pioneer has small LEDs soldered to the board. I doubt it would work out.

The Ls Pioneer uses led's? That's odd. the pioneer for the sc uses the same bulbs as the climate unit. as seen here the blue circles on each side in the middle are the mounts for the two bulbs. look really hard and you'll see the bulbs in the middle (viewed from the bottom of the bulbs).

Ice blue caps installed and one stock cap left to show the difference. Also, a little preview of what i will be finishing tonight and have installed in the 400. Hopefully i can come across a set of needle's from an early sc soon, mine are 96 and have red centers I'm going to try the red and the blue background both, but definately hyper white needle's.

the contrast was so bad it appeared to spot up, but not in person. i had hardly no light at all to take that pic. it's a pretty hot combination in person. i'm doing the red backlight now.

man these pics are horrible. red just doesnt want to photograph. and the blue needs more light. to photo correctly. anyway.. here's the red on red. i did a red cluster with yellow needle's too but couldnt get it to photo at all.

onelasttry, you rock. Keep up the good work. Like the way it looks in red, esp on the climate control. It would make it match my Kenwood head unit better. I have always liked the look of red dash lighting. Isn't the lighting on the IS red or orange? Next time you got some red covers, PM me. I'd definitely like to do my climate control display and console lights in red.
