I am new to car maintenance. I need help on locating where the firewall is, because I need to find it to find my EGR Vacuum Modulator. Thanks!


EGR VACUUM MODULATOR - This is the circular disk near the firewall on the driver side that has P, Q, and R marked on top. This controls the EGR VALVE by regulating the amount of vacuum sent to the EGR valve.

Firewall separates the engine compartment from the cabin.

This is a 2JZ, as i'm fairly sure the 1UZ doesn't have a modulator.

^^ That's it in the diagram. Driver's side of the car, back of the engine on the intake manifold side, right on top. It's impossible to miss. The EGR modulator is very visible and easy to replace. Pay close attention to or take a couple of reference pictures of where the vacuum hoses go. Very simple to do, OP
