welcome to clublexus

2jzgte swap in SCs had been done numerous times. You need to have a plan or a goal why you want a 2jzgte on your car. What will you use the car for ? What power goals are you aiming for ? With an end goal then you can collect the parts you need. You have quite a number of threads on the Builds Sections who have done it. Check that of Ryans (catmandw3), one of the many who had done a 2jzgte swap.

Depending on your power goal with the 2jzgte , the W58 manual transmission you have is not gonna last long. Since you are aiming for a 2jzgte, I assume you want more power than what the W58 can handle. So , if I where you I would sell that transmission while it is in good condition. It is gonna break on a 2jzgte , it is a matter of time. You have other options though like R154, V160 , T56, CD0009 .... That all depends on your goal and budget of course.

Good Luck

Ok. thanks for the ideas and options. If I want to go around 600-800 horsepower did the complete swap 2jzgte can handle on that. also want to do a lsd differential so what else parts need to have, what is the best choice for the tranny do i support to go with or just the one that came with the 2jzgte complete 5spd?

Thanks

You have the rarest of the rare. 1 of 120. Why not leave it as it is? If you need more power, buy a cheap sc3 and swap a gte motor/trans in that.

That what I thought but I got a side road accident so on the rear quarter panel was hitting a tree so now need to be replace and I'm already got my widebody kit order and will work on the kit this summer. Car also has 250000 miles on body and motor so I think it is time to do everything new. This project will cost me alot but I'll taking time to work on it.

I would like to keep it as it but now I can't cause sometime soon need to replace the new motor or rebuild it so I decide to go ahead do the swap whenever I have the money.

But thank anyway..

I wasn't trying to offend by the way. I'm of the opinion that a rare car should stay a rare car. Personally, i'd refresh the 2J that's in it and keep it original, but that's just me.

Please see my build thread....should give you an idea of how much work it is to go 2jzgte.....

And personally I should have just got rid of the w58 right away it didnt last very long....

if you are staying at stock power levels.....the w58 may last
