Preciate the reply... That is where the ECU is going, so is that going to cause a problem when i start my install? I have to get this done in 2 days so any setback would be awful. Out of the whole wiring harness those were the only ones cut

I will be starting the swap next weekend when I'm off. Still confused about the body plug, because I have all the plugs in the ecu

I'm guessing there is no way to kno exactly what it plugs into until I start the swap?

Once you remove the old harness from car you will be able to compare then....the plugs dont go into the ECU....they go into the lower passenger kick panel like I noted above

Those body plugs can only go in one spot...they are color coded and you just match them up....its not really that confusing...

Take your time. I can almost gurantee you it's going to take longer than two days. You will run into a lot of little issues. Have you extended your harness?

I have not extended the harness... I see a lot of people saying you can re position the ECU so you dont have to do that

Could I reuse a body plug connector from the 2j if I cut the one I need?

you can re-use the 2jz body plug sure, but if the 1jz one already matches just keep the 2jz harness in one piece, it's worth something..

on my car i went full frankenstein cause i had an sc400 and a chaser 1jz VVTI so i had to take an sc3/400 body harness and do a complete splice into the 1jz vvti... that was a good bit of work.

start with getting the engine into the car.. you got a ways to go yet..
