Has anyone else noticed how the dead pedal is really close to the clutch pedal and any slightly wider shoes interfere with pressing down the clutch? That has been annoying me recently and i was wondering if anyone has solved the problem. Are the dead pedals smaller in the manual equipped SCs? It is part of the carpet so probably no easy solution..

My dead pedal is kind of in the way on my manual swap and I tore the carpet back seeing if there was a solution. I got nothing honestly other than had to change foot placement the best I can. Have wide feet myself.

The dead pedal is slightly narrower on the manual and requires changing the entire carpet with 5spd carpet.

yeah I have the same problem, it looks like you can lift up the carpet remove the foam and cut it in half then install it back on, should salve the problem, Im not sure if its different in later years. I never done anything with mine yet but i got used to just keeping my foot more to the right side of the clutch
