Hydraulic fan not rotating quickly? change to electric fan?

Default Hydraulic fan not rotating quickly? change to electric fan?

So my gfs SC400 is running hot pretty much all the time now. It seems that the hydraulic fan is barely spinning.

Looking for parts onliine everwhere just seems to sell an electric fan motor and they all say they fit a 93 SC400. Is it possible to buy that motor and bolt it in place of the hydraulic fan motor? Is it designed for a swap or are all the parts sites listing it incorrectly?

I'm having such a hard time finding information about this. I found jibby's fan conversion thread but unfortunately I have like a few hours every sunday to be able to accomplish this since we live fairly far apart and I can't leave any room for possibly having her stranded because I couldn't complete the project quickly.

Have you checked the solenoid valve on the power steering pump? It may have been disconnected. Or perhaps the problem lies with the cooling fan ECU, which should be under your dash.
