Default Xxr 527

I was planning on purchasing some XXR 527's, but I'm very skeptical about it because I'm uncertain of the fit, if anyone could help me out, it'd be a big help.

So first off, it's these:
http://www.nlmotoring.com/XXR-527-Wheels-18x8-75-Flat-Black-p/52788102.htm

I was planning on getting 18x8.75 all around with a +35 offset. I was wondering what the fitment would be like. I tried referring to the original thread, but I kept confusing myself. I'm wondering if it would be flush with the fender? Because I was also think about it being staggered with 8.75 in the front and 9.75 in the rear, but the 9.75 has a +20 offset. I want the rims to be pretty much flush, but without having to do any fender modifications.

Also, what would it be like if I didn't stretch the tires because it seems people are in favor of stretching the tires on these rims. I might probably stretch it anyway, but I think it'd be good to know.

Sorry if it's kind of confusing. I just don't really know what or how to ask about rims.

Hey man,
I'm no expert but it's finally sinking in for me.
Those would surely not be flush. The offset is too high and the wheel is not wide enough. Both figures are off. That would sit almost like a stock wheel. If you open yourself up to a fender roll, you will get options closer to flush (or flush). If you went up to 9.5 and 10.5 with lower offsets, you could get closer to the look you want. It's dependent on ride height as well. It's hard to get it just right but if you are open to roll/shave/pull, stretch, camber, spacers and ride height adjustment, you can make anything reasonably close fit. You can't get flush with the body with the fender lip cutting into your tires, unless you are at 4x4 ride height.
Don't buy anything until you start to understand fitment. Keep reading the fitment thread and looking at the pics until it starts to make sense to you. You will possibly waste your money if you don't.

Good luck!

I was looking at the fitment thread and I saw the fitment picture of Jeremyp111 and I was assuming I'd get close to that fitment because I figured the offset and width on the XXRs are really close, or am I really wrong? His has 18x8 front and 18x9 rear +38 offset all around.

with those offsets the wheels will not sit even close to flush to the fender. if you are looking for a flush look, you will need to get the xxr 527 with the offset of a +20 all around. but you will need to open up to rolling the fenders. its not hard, just time consuming.

Those definitely won't be flush. I looked at a few of the offsets XXR offers for these wheels and you might be able to get sort of flush if you go 18x19.75 all around. The front would probably need a fender roll depending on tire size and how low the car is. The rear won't be flush.

For some reason the 527's don't have all of the different sizes like some of the other XXR's do.

Awesome! That'd probably give me the best reference. Thanks!

Damn, that looks good. Looks like you're poking out of your fenders?
Would 18x9.75 +20 all around with a 10mm spacer in the rear look any good? I want a similar look, but not really poking out far past my fenders.

Thanks!

Its not my car but with your +20 and 10 spacer would put you at an identical stance, you can always start small with a 5mm spacer and see where that puts you.
