Default pre 97 vs post 97 valance

Question guys. Ive tried teling the diff maybe im blind. (Most likely am) is there a diff between the rear side valances on a pre 97 vs post? The ones at the bottom of the rear quarter panels?

Sorry if im sounding stupid.

Yes they're slightly different. The pre 97s round under the car, whereas the 97+ body style doesnt curve under the car as much.

Well, they're different, but they are still a direct swap. A lot of SC guys like to swap out the old bumpers and skirts for the 97+ ones. All a direct swap.

You don't need the '97+ bumper to go along with the '97+ valances, do you? I was thinking both style of valances blend to the same point at the bumper, but the '97+ ones extend down (instead of curving in) more by the wheel to flush out the line from the side skirts.

You can get a rear lip that fits over the 92-96 one that achieves the same end result.

are there any rear lips that are pretty OEM? most on ebay seem quite aggressive..
