I also have the seat up/down failure problem like others here, on both seats. Anyone know how to fix that or what to look for, before taking the seat out? Other adjustments and memory function work fine...

Your passenger seat goes up/down? Mine is that cursed cheap passenger Toyota seat. Like the 3 other Toyotas I've dealt with, a 2012 Camry, a 2000 Avalon, and my 1992 SC300, passengers get the shaft on the seat. Driver's side is power, goes back/forth, up/down on the front and back part of driver's cushon, power recline, inflatable lumbar.

Passenger seat in all 3 of those cars ONLY goes back/forth, and has the power recline. In the Lexus its really annoying, because the passenger seat sits right on the floor, so you sit with your legs splayed straight out. Its not nearly as comfortable as the driver's seat where you can raise it up a bit.

Yes, the passenger seat in my car also has the up/down function. The seat switch has the same arrows as the drivers side, and when I tried it out today, it moved up about a centimeter before it stopped. Same on the drivers side. It sounded like a motor that was "running out of batteries" when it stopped moving, if that makes any sense. All the other seat adjustment functions continue to work fine.
