I am looking to change up look of car for awhile and being my current &swiss brand is rare ,a powder coat is a inexpensive option

Tell me opinion if I should keep the brushed look or go with black face, chrome lips and bolts

Black wheel color would be gloss like the body

I say keep the brushed look! Sets it off so much more...I am not a fan of black wheels on a black car

Exactly what I was going to say, pretty much word for word.

I'm planning on going with bronze wheels once I get to refinishing the faces. I've seen that color on a black SC and it looks amazing.

Brushed for sure... Never have liked the "black on black" look..... (but respect those that do...).

That's a tough call because both variants would suit your car very well.

The only thing I do not like about jet black (gloss black) on wheels is that they will swirl up and mar up very easily. Black paint shows every imperfection as I am sure you know from having an Onyx Black SC.

I detail mainly high end cars, LOTS of them have gloss black wheels. We do alot of brand new cars as well as many clients' cars whose wheels just got refinished. It's always the same scenario, even brand new gloss black wheels, after the first wash will be filled with swirls and scratches. If that doesn't bother you, I'd go for it, but I could never do it because it would drive me insane.

I am getting my second set of wheels refinished at this time. I wasn't sure what color to do the centers. I decided to keep them black, but a pearl black with a decent amount of metallic is what I went with because it's a MUCH more forgiving color and does an excellent job at masking swirls.

those are so clean it adds to the freshness of the car. I have a set of blacks with chrome hoops and kinda just "meh" them when I look at em.

Don't you touch those damn wheels. You leave them alone you hear me!

If you want to change the color temporarily, get them vinyl wrapped or use plastidip.

stay brushed. looks really nice with the very good condition chrome trim around the windows. IMO if you blacked out the wheels, you would have to get blacked headlights and plasti dip the chrome trim around the windows, otherwise might look out of place. You have a nice car there!

I say brushed! It seems to compliment your SC more than black.

This. Find a different set of wheels and if that is not an option...for sure keep it brushed.

Plastidip them black......just tape off the lips if you want or do the whole wheel

Its easy to do and you can remove it......see if the color grows on you.....

Plastidip wheels can turn out really good if you do the prep of cleaning wheels.....and the biggest trick if you do tape the lips off.....spray a thick final coat and right after pull the tape off and you will have a nice clean line...
