Hmmm...I have all my receipts in a folder and am afraid to look at them.
Let's see...
2 sets of preimum wheels, a full eclipse system, torque converter, complete leather retrim,
tein suspension, gone through 4 sets of HIDS, custom LED tails, bulbs, cross drilled slotted rotors, SS lines,
I'd say I'm in the 8-10K range.
And that's W/OUT major speed upgrades.
Scarey.
BUT I do love cruising in the city and having nice music and movies to enjoy and having bright lights the light up the night in soft leather. Can't beat that.

Short list
here is a quicky list, that is far from being all inclusive.
Fully Race Ported Head
Custom Tubular Turbo Manifold
Custom SP Intake Manifold
Custom 3.5" Turbo Back Exhaust
Custom Larger Diameter Head Studs
Custom Washers and Nuts
Custom Twin Entry Fuel Rail
160 lbs/hr injectors (roughly 1600+cc)
Twin Walbro 255 LPH In Tank Pumps
Larger 85mm Throttle Body
Greddy Pistons
Pauter Rods
Custom underground crank with clevite bearings
Supra TT 6 Speed LSD Rear End
Custom Driveshaft
SP400 3 speed manual valve body transmission upgrade
Speed Pro/FAST Engine Management
Custom Distributorless Ignition Setup
Unorthodox underdrive pullies
A/C delete
Custom NHRA Certified Chromoly Roll Cage (through the dash, not around it)
Greddy 3 Row Front Mount Intercooler
HKS GT 60mm Wastegate
SP88 Turbo (based on a PTE88)
Custom Direct port dry 180 shot nitrous setup
Supra TT brake upgrade (front and rear)
Volk Millenium Edition TE37s
CCW Skinnies for the front
Supra NA Wheels With ET Streets
DEFI Boost, EGT, Fuel Pressure, and Tach
We have about $75-$80k on top of the purchase price of the car, not including the truck and trailor we bought for it.
I should have bought a used older diablo or a 996 TT!! Oh well. The saddest thing is I am still about $20-$25k away from being completely done but am out of money... I hope I can run some consistent 9.0s and get some kind of sponsorship or it will take me awhile to really finish it the way I want.

I think between both of my Turbo SCs I have spent just a wee bit more than a couple of Happy Meals. But hey, who's counting?? Surely not me, I ran out of fingers and toes a while back.

Todd's project is off the hinnnges, Clint, and is for sure getting the most serious hardware out of all of us. Much as TM spent on the project though, he's also blessed with some sponsorship, having done work for some big names always helps of course. I'm sure between both your SC's you've spent enough that you'll be thinking about it a bit all the way to retirement, but you're a Texan and you can't help but do things big.
Expecting very good numbers from you this season Clint, try not to explode anything before you break the 60ft beams ....

Thus far
Thus far Ive owned her for about 3 months... Ive already put about 1-2K into her, not too bad.
Woodgrain dash kit: $200
All new emblems and exhaust tips: $279
Plate frames and front lexus plate: $50
K&N 7" cone filter with adapter: $80
Denso Iridium plugs: $80
Brand new rims, Lexus 7 spoke chrome alloy (95-97 SC style) $600
Sale of old rims (estimate) - $250
Valentine one detector (critically important) $400
(cosmetics done, no need for a body kit)
One last mod to do right now, I plan on having it done in the early summer, the Lexuspros ECu full upgrade for $1200 And my car will be complete to my liking. Maybe someday I'll eventually get the dragon torque converter but not for quite a while. I can tell you one thing, If my mom found out I want to spend 1200 bucks on somethign for my car that isnt mandatory, im entirely sure she would kill me!

Lexus Fanatic
I purposefully avoided this thread because I knew people like Ethan, Clint, Scott, Jeff, Todd, Mike, etc would emasculate me with their whips! So in light of that, I won't list my mods (the grand total would bring me to tears when I see what I could have, and should have, bought instead of all these small things). Oh well, it's a learning process! The good news is that I'm only about 20% complete with my goals on the SC, just running short of funds---have been for the last year or so...
I am an SC freak though, 90% of my disposable income goes to the Lex! Someone take my credit cards away from me!!!
