Default w58 into sc400 shifter question

I have an early model sc300 w58 that I'm putting in my sc400 but im missing the entire shift assembly and apparently they are discontinued from lexus. My question is which shift assemblies are interchangeable while keeping the shifter position the same? It seems like a supra w58 shifter doesnt have a bend like the sc300 w58 shifter and ive read that some soarer r154 shifters may work... im just confused... any help is appreciated

any of the standard 4 bolt style shifter (read; NOT tripod) should work, r154 or w58. Might have to cut the shifter itself and make your own dog leg to get it into the position you want, but it's not that difficult a deal. I haven't confirmed that the truck shifters will work, but it's quite possible. They appear to be the same style iirc, they just have the shifter going into the trans in a different location (center of the shifter housing rather than the rear of it, which is accounted for internally with a shorterr shift linkage dealy)

that helps a bit as the truck/r154/other w58 shifters all look like they will mount up. I suppose itll just come down to modifying one to get the correct location. thanks!

Default Try Cube speed

Take a look at the cube speed short shifter it worked great on my 92 SC. Definitely a 100% improvement, a bit noisy though. I just used some boom tape on it to quite it down.
