I am currently in the process of mocking up some aero for the SC as I plan to take it out to some track events next year...

I am willing to share the cardboard template if anyone is interested.....its for 92-96 style front bumper with SC400 lip

Also others should share some of their FUNCTIONAL aero.....

Here are some progress pics of cardboard template for the splitter/undertray...I will be making it out of alumilite or dibond....1/4" thick material...it is super light weight and very strong

Me and a buddy will be putting the finishing touches on this at the end of the week........and before anyone comments I will be attaching the splitter to the subframe with aluminum brackets.....I do things right no half assed stuff here

I still need to see how to make it removable with ease....

At some point yes.....it has been proven that it provides significant downforce......

Just thinking out loud here, and I've never seen anything about it one way or the other... Wouldn't producing more downforce up front on a RWD car be bad unless also increasing the downforce in the back? Maybe the suspension will be able to compensate, but I would think pushing the nose down would lift the tail a bit, reducing grip at the drive wheels. The car is already somewhat nose heavy and not lacking for being pushed down up front.

Plexiglass is to weak....you need something stronger....it will crack and shatter into a million pieces....

Look into the material I mentioned above...they can be found at any sign shop

When you design it, think about using some sort of breakaway standoff to attach. When you go off track, it shouldn't take the entire front of your car with it should it catch on something.

My wife started with the alumalite stuff for hers on her m3, but she ended up building it out of fiberglass instead, and putting on a Kevlar edge at the front of it. Her car is full track so also has 2x dive planes and big rear wing for more aero.

Here's a pre-painted pic as she is was building one of hers (think this is v2.0 out of 3, each gets lighter and better) so you can see the little pucks she embedded for the standoffs to attach hers.

Going full on track spec........I have just started with the lip....I plan on mocking up some more parts for side diffuser on stock OEM sideskirts, rear diffuser....and rear wing....

Do you guys think the rocket bunny spoiler for say a 240sx makes pretty good downforce...it is similar to nascar and other sports car racing...

I thought about taking about a 6-8 inch strip of alumilite and making it similar to the way nascar rear spoiler does with the adjustable wing struts to the rear trunk

I use ABS plastic for the front splitter, it's heavy, but has survived 30 hours of bad driving and mowing the grass/off-roading. Most of my flat panel bottom and diffuser were ripped out the first tack day this week
