Default Squealing when turning left

My 92 SC's steering feels like it's brand new, runs straight at 80, don't even need to hold the steering whell, essentially. But a problem has popped up that I've noticed. When I make a slightly hard turn to the left, an on-off squealing occurs, no clunking, just repulsive screaming that comes from the right side. I have yet to remove the wheel and check things out but I did notice a good amount of fluid that seemed to be coming from the strut on the pass right front. I'm pretty sure it's the strut given that the struts are OEM, and the steering/alignment is only a few years old and was recently tuned and turned.

Have anybody else ever had this issue?

It sounds like you've already found the answer.

When you turn left, weight shifts right and the strut is low on hydraulic fluid due to the leak so when it compresses it squeals. Replace the strut and then see if the sound continues... or maybe it's time for some coilovers?

I'll be getting the struts replaced here in a few days. I'll post the results.

Coilovers would be cool...but 18 inch rims wont go well go with the drop...

I've got 19's and rolled fenders, you might be able to make it work depending on how thick your tires are,

That's the point of coil overs, they're adjustable. So you can even lift your car instead of drop it with the right coil overs lol. If i wasnt so busy and lazy i would lift my car for the winter, but who has time for that.

Nice choice, I've got the same set on my car, and I've been impressed these past 2 and a half years. It's a lot smoother than any lowered car has a right to be.

So the sqealing disappeared but shortly after the first drive there was a thump-thump-thump...got to my destination and poked around a bit to find I didn't tighten the lug nuts back on! I have removed the wheels so many times I forgot to tighten them up the last time around! To make things even more interesting, I went over 80 MPH...that would have been a totaled SC if those wheels came off!!!

Got that taken care of, then a minor noise generated after the first few days. Every time I would turn the wheel, there was a "clunk". Sure enough, rack and pinion bushing is non-existent. Well, time for some daizen rack bushings!
