Just installed a tow hitch.

Just installed a tow hitch.
I needed a bike rack to transport my bike but didnt want to use those trunk mounts so I got a hitch mounted bike rack.
This tow hitch is a Curt 11233. Installed on pre-97s, the hitch protrudes out maybe 1.5"-2" but on the 97+ it sits flush with the rear bumper.
I wanted the hitch to sit as far back as possible, so I did a lot of grinding and drilled some holes to push the hitch back about 1.5 inches.
It's not very noticeable.
I'll take more pictures when the bike rack gets here.
Here's a few more pics now that I have my bike rack.

Awesome, I just planned on buying the same set up. I plan on trailing a harbor freight trailer, and my motorcycle though.... About 1,000lbs in total. I'm not sure if I'm going to do that or just make the vacation on my bike instead... Problem is travelling on bike is risky, and I plan to travel everywhere, which severely limits what I can bring on my bike. Basic tools, survival stuff, food etc....in a car with a trailer I can bring everything and even sleep in it, but then I spend three times as much on gas alone... Anyway looks good, update it when you have your bike mounted. Peace.

@t2d2 he has it mounted so that the hitch comes through the area in which you mount the license plate. When he doesn't use it he moves the license plate back up to hide the hole. I can't find a close up of it right now, but I remember seeing it somewhere on the interwebz.
