1/2UZFE Flywheel for V160
Hello Everyone,
We are currently in talks with Fidanza regarding manufacturing a flywheel for the 1UZFE that will accept the V160 clutch for the 2JZGTE. Before hand I am looking to the forum to see if there is already a flywheel out there for this application.
Please note that this thread is not a group buy as these things often fail however, I did send a cl moderator a pm just in case. Still waiting to hear back from him. In the meantime, how many of you out there are working on a 1UZ->V160 conversion.
PS Yes I am aware of the Quartermaster button up flywheel. Not what we are looking for. We need something that will accept the 2JZGTE oem clutch assembly.
Kind Regards,
Nick from Toronto

1/2uz is not very supported by aftermarket when it comes to any manual swaps.
There may be a hand full of people who whould love to do v160, but just can't justify the cost if the trany alone including myself.
On the other hand there is a huge demand for the good flywheel when it comes to r154 and w58, which is more affordable not only that, but we already have the all other parts figured out. Most use mr2 or like myself I'm
Using a slightly drilled and fabed 4runner fw.
If fidanza can do this for us, you can't immagine what other lexus brand uz enthusiasts will jump on and ride!!!

Oh btw fidanza has a 1uz flywheel already, but it's for a 100 series land cruiser, which I believe has a different bellhousing, Which is specified on their website that only works on those models.
There really no clear answer whether it would fit in our bellhousing or not untill someone actually buys it and try

the journals for that flywheel uses is for the R150 or whatever box the Land Cruiser uses. I can't remember but I think it's much larger than that of the
V160 clutch.
That being said, what they are going with is basically a 2JZGTE flywheel with UZ bolt pattern and UZ ring gear. Makes for a lot more options.
Kind Regards,
Nick.
