Default Anyone looking for a 97 5 speed?

THIS IS NOT MY CAR OR ANYONE I KNOW, I JUST KNOW HOW RARE IT IS ESPECIALLY WITH BLACK INTERIOR SO IM POSTING THIS FOR THE COMMUNITY. You can find it on los angeles craigslist. I wont post the link but its not hard to find. Its silver with BLACK interior. Now the amount of these ive seen being posted around here makes me think why everybody treats this car like jesus

I understand its only 120 made but ive seen at least 10 for sale this past year and thats only in LA!
Most of them had black interior too.

Why so much hype ?

I might as well piggyback on this post. For anyone looking for a M/T swap, this was posted on the Seattle / Snohomish County (WA) craigslist two days ago:

w58 transmission 5 speed - $200 (bothell)
I have for sale a w58 five speed with no bellhousing and needs a rebuild.
Comes with a rebuild kit as you can see in the pictures.

You have the "cream of the crop" in Sc stock power. That thing would feel so slow to you. Just manual swap your 400. As much as I love my 5 speed 300, my 400 totally blows it away performance wise.

agreed. I too felt that way before I boosted my 1of120 SC300. My SC400, even though its a 96, still surprises me how quick it is and i only have a BFI and exhaust.

Yea but I've always wanted a manual GTE, which is what I would want to do to this. Although I suppose I shouldnt butcher a 97 5spd.. Maybe your right this time Studiogeek lol.

Grass is always greener right?
I'd LOVE to make the same power as a stock GTE without all those finicky turbo parts involved. A 290HP NA VVTI 5 speed Sc is one of my dream cars.

WANT, sure.... but not need LOL. It's all in context. After driving my 300 5 speed, the 400 feels satisfyingly fast even though its auto. If I made it a 5 speed and added 70-80 horses, it would feel like a beast by comparison......... until I drove a GTE with a nice single and 500+ HP of course.

I wouldn't mod a 1997 5 speed or a 2000 SC400, leave them alone and enjoy them as they are. The rest are fair game though!

True......I'd leave a 2000 alone but the 98, 99 would get the swap. Id keep the stock tranny tho and say it's been on "time out" for a few years LOL.

Basically, I just would not buy a 2000 because I know my intentions.
