Default My 1992 SC300 Salvaged Title

I just purchased this 1992 SC300 w/ 152k miles a few weeks ago which has been restored with some nice 97+ parts and a nice paint job. I dig the color and the wing, not too fond of the wheels. some small things are broken like the passenger door (outside handle only). the LCD for the A/C is half black (looks like ink in the screen). The lights on the HUD for the gauge on the speed and RPM are out. For some reason my RPM's when idling are low. All together this car is pretty clean from the start, I bought it for 2700$ from a guy who was rear ended in the passenger back right side right behind the wheel. His dad owns a auto body shop. The framework is all good though. All I had to do was replace the fuel pump.

Can anyone tell me what year my wing and taillights are? the lights are toyota brand for some reason, I know the" like" model is the Toyota Soarer but it seems Lexus parts would be easier to obtain and ship. The front lights and windshield are toyota too. What do all you guys think?

Nice looking car!!! Must say the stock wheels are "mint", my 1992 with 60k miles, cream puff, the paint was starting to come off in the center spoke parts.

As for your tail lights, they are not stock for a 1992, they are off a later model SC, maybe a 1995 or newer. Not sure what year they switched to that tail-light style.

Must say if it drives straight, shifts right, runs great, handles like it should, interior is halfway decent(ie no ripped up seats), that was a steal for $2700, even if it was salvage title.

your tail lights, and wings are 97+. Lexus is the luxury marque of toyota so the parts would naturally be marked with Toyota; even newer models (family has new LS f sport and Rx f sport) have toyota markings since they made the car.

Nice looking car btw, and congrats on the new car!

Congratz on your purchase, the car looks very clean. some of the issues you're having with your vehicle are very common for this vehicle. A.K.A bleeding climate control, bulbs on the dash going out, and broken door handles. There are many threads already established with these issues and how to repair them. If you choose to fix a simple search should be able to reveal any DIY instructions you may need.

GL and welcome to CL

nice pick up! welcome to the family

those are 97 tail lights. The rear bumper is actually a 92 and the wing i've never seen before.
Everything on the car is 92 besides the tail lights and the rear wing thats probably aftermarket??

Well at least it does not look too bad xD that makes it sound kinda lame.

Thanks for welcoming me guys. This forum seems very helpful and seems to have a lot of FAQ and common errors that happen. I will be using the search button more than posting seems most of the info I need is already here
