Wow, that is rough. Hopefully they will try to salvage it.

Man....if you hit a parked car they should revoke your license. That's just blatant disrespect for anyone on the road. If you can't drive straight you shouldn't be driving. They should make her retake her license test and everything, her insurance should also double.

I agree. I would even go a step further and say any accident that results from texting while driving should be categorized as intent to commit murder. That's the only way these idiots are going to get the message, no pun intended.

To the OP: I feel your pain. I got into the SC game this spring because my trusty old steed got totaled by an inattentive driver. Best of luck dealing with insurance headaches and replacement heartaches.

I don't think lawer can do anything for the car unless you got hurt and was in it.( which good thing you weren't in it for your safety)
It's going to be a loss but I'd keep the car and work on the widebody if that's even in the picture

Hopefully you can have a choice as to what happens to the car from here.
I can only hope that the cell phone left a mark when the airbags slapped it back in their face.

Thanks, all! STILL waiting to hear from the insurance adjusters, ugh... Haven't forgotten about you all, so I'll make sure to keep you posted with the outcome! Hoping I can keep her.

Welp, she's been totaled out. Tweaked frame Going to see if I can get some of the good parts off of her to sell, but not sure what will be allowed. Next step is to get one of the 4WD Tercel's from the 80's and hit the trails, haha. I'll be back to the SC scene soon enough, but need to let the wounds heal over first

Thanks, all. I'm getting $6,125 total from the insurance company, which isn't worth it to me, but we all know how that goes. Gonna throw some new tires on my GS (cannot wait to get rid of those godawful run flats!) and throw the rest into the bank to help with my house down payment. Considering an FD RX-7 with an LS1 swap, but we'll see! I'll definitely get another SC one of these days. As much as I love my GS460, there was just something so fun about driving that SC all the time! Even though it's a slug in comparison... haha. She will be missed.

If you go FD RX7, you should put a 1UZ in it!~

too many LS swaps on the FDs.

Haha, the LS is waaaaaay more mod friendly than the 1UZ! The 1UZ would be pretty cool, but I'd be going for the crazy cam
