97+ Instrument Cluster swap to a 92 SC
as the thread title states. im looking for anyone that has tried to wire in a newer 97+ cluster into an older 92-96 SC300.
i just bought a cluster and i got it with a foot of wiring harness after the pigtails.
anyone attempt this?

Where is FL are you? I know a shop in ft. lauderdale that can do it. I actually asked them about it recently and was gonna do it but I decided to just swap the entire dash harness and save money.

It should not be hard if you follow where wires go based on the diagrams below. If you can get the complete wirings for the 97 cluster from connector to connector from the underdash harness better. Less wires to repin in some connectors. Use the diagrams for repinning or connecting the new pigtail wires to the right wires of your old harness
I am in the process of changing the clusters of the Black Mamba and Red Mamba which are both 1992 . The 97 cluster is a lot better at least for me. The Black Pearl which is a 97 just looks a lot better so I am changing all my clusters to 97
left harness is from 97 and the one on the right is pre 97

diagrams are loading. i do however have the wiring schematics for 92 and 97 cars since i work at a toyota dealership. i was just hoping i could find a how-to so i dont have to match wires and such.
