SO I'm new to the Lexus stuff. i have searched and found a bunch of stuff labeled vertex. The car i just bought is a vertex edition 1992 sc300. It has an emblem on the fender just behind the front wheel.
Its a 5 speed dark green, with tan interior. So what exactly is a vertex edition?
In japan vertex edition was a trim package for the soarers, aristos, and various other luxury toyotas. I think it had to do with sat-nav and other gizmos. Chances are, that car had its' fenders replaced, and the person had bought some fenders that happened to be from japan.
Which means the vehicle was likely in some mishap..... Get a CarFax report to see what the history is.... Look at the door jam stickers to see date of mfg and other pertinent facts about the car....
As I recall, those rims were only offered on an SC400 and not the SC300 so those are not original, either.....
Fenders have Vin#'s on them, see if they match the vin number on your car.... If they do, it's original equipment. You can buy that emblem online though and just add it on too which is what someone probably did.
It's the emblem from a Toyota Aristo V300 Vertex Edition. Someone has installed them aftermarket on the car because there was never a Vertex Edition Soarer or SC300.
I checked all 4 of my Vins which are the number of VINs SCs have, check me if I'm wrong, and what your must check when you buy one of these blast from the past, 90s gems. Vertex means go go go!!
That's strange. How did you get my sig pic on your post. The site must be freaking out!
