Default Quickest & Fastest SC400 on DragTimes.com 11.78 @ 129

I took my TT SC400 back to the track last Friday (8-15-14)
I put the Supra shocks n struts on the car, along with the MT ET Drags.
The car ran an 11.78@129 MPH with a 1.88 60 Foot.
My clutch is pretty aggressive, so It's difficult to slip the clutch to stay in the power band. The motor bogs pretty hard once the clutch grabs.
According to www.DragTimes.com that makes this the quickest, and Fastest SC400
Well as least as a street car I'm guessing.

Here is a thread about the build

Did I hear the video correctly? Sounds like you went through all 6 gears, if so what diff are you running?

That is a nice time btw. What size MT's are you running?

LOL yeah Turbodremz. With the stock size tires I do shift into 6th. With the larger 28 inch tires (MT ET slicks) I only shift into 5th. I'll try and post a few of those videos tonight.

I'm running the SC400's original rear end with the 3.96:1 final gear.
I did change out the carrier to the auto supra TT Torsen LSD.
With the stock size tires, and a lot more wheel spin the car was trapping 132mph

Ok, I watched the video's over and over to make sure I was hearing that correct. I hit 5th with my T56 and stock 4.27 gears on a 26" tire and am planning on dropping to the LS400 3.62 gears with a 28" tire and hopefully stay in 4th gear on the big end and bring my trap up a little.

Have you thought about changing gears and launching off a 2-step? Car sounds amazing, and like I said before gives me a whole new respect for the UZ engines.

Gotcha turbodreamz. The 6-speed comes mated to a 3.19:1 final gear in the supra. I do have a later diff at the house that is a 3.27:1
I have though about switching it out, until I put the 28 inch tires. That helped it a lot. I still have the other rear end. I was thinking of doing a 1/2 mile run in Chicago later in the year, but the car did 132 in the quarter. I'll be honest, I'm a little afraid of what mph it might pull in a 1/2 mile.

I'd toss the 3.27 and push it. I originally started my LS1 swap with the Texas Mile in mind, but in the same boat as you after a few highway runs at TX2k14, but then again Im making just over half of what your car probably is and mine surprised me pretty good.

Hey Turbodreamz,
The 3.27 I have is still an open diff. I guess I've been thinking about getting another Auto Supra TT Torsen diff, and then just changing the entire housing out when i wanted rather then trying to put the gear on the carrier I have in the car.
I got a deal on the one I have now, and it seems like all the used ones are a lot more then I paid so I keep finding places to put the money rather then an additional rear.

Gotta fix the line lock, and a few other things this weekend.
It never ends.
