Hey Turbodreamz,
The 3.27 I have is still an open diff. I guess I've been thinking about getting another Auto Supra TT Torsen diff, and then just changing the entire housing out when i wanted rather then trying to put the gear on the carrier I have in the car.
I got a deal on the one I have now, and it seems like all the used ones are a lot more then I paid so I keep finding places to put the money rather then an additional rear.
Gotta fix the line lock, and a few other things this weekend.
It never ends.

I did have an open Diff break on me. It locked up during driving, and it broke the output shaft on the trans at the same time, so the price for a Diff might be better insurance then ya think.
I think I just need some more practice time at the track, and hopefully the driver improves a little. lol

Well I took the SC400 back to the track last Wednesday 9-24-14 and I let a little more air out of the slicks. 17psi, and I was more aggressive with the launch.
It resulted it an 11.269 @ 131 mph with 21psi
With a 1.675 sec 60 foot.
I'm pretty happy with what the car has done so far.
I'm still hoping to get a few more shots at the track before the weather gets to cold here in Chicago.
Maybe I can pull off a high 10 second pass.
Wish me luck.

Illinois car's...... dropping the pedal. You guys are fast up there.
He was the fastest SC300 and you are the fastest SC400. That is representing illinois!

Thanks Guys.
Yeah, I guess I am a little late to the game, but the 1uz-fe doesn't have the aftermarket support as some of the other Toyota motors, and we wasted a good amount of time trying to play with the stock transmission.
Trying to make a lot of stuff, and doing it on a budget with a buddy who is trying to run his shop at the same time took a little longer then we would have liked, but I'm pretty happy with the results.
Chris Treadgill is a great guy, and has been more then generous with knowledge and willingness to offer advice whenever I asked. Our cars look a lot a like. We would get mistaken for one another all the time.
It was kind of neat running into each other at the track for the first time a few years ago.
He has moved on to make a pretty fast Nissan (infinity G35 I believe) and now building a 64-66 mustang.
I'm fairly sure the car has a decent 10sec run in her. I think more practice from the driver is the biggest area of opportunity right now. Practice makes perfect right?
Last time a went to the track, I took a 1/2 second off. Improvements like that should help.
:-)

Yeah Steve you are right.
I caught a lot of flack over the fact that I don't run waste gates on the exhaust side of the turbos.
I regulate boost with a Wastegate style blow off valve on the charge side (cool side) of the turbo.
This has worked for me very well. I'm sure it isn't the best set up for turbo life, but this is not a daily driven vehicle, and I'm not expecting 100,000 mile life span on the turbos.
So far no Wastegate has worked just fine for me.
